AOI member Jitesh Patel is a London based designer and runs a studio DesignBite, currently compiling and designing an exciting new book entitled Tote Bags: (working title) to be published worldwide by Laurence King Publishing in 2010. The tote bag book will present the best examples and most creative prints of tote bags from around the world on180 full-colour pages.
The Book:
The graphic imagery and messages displayed upon tote bags are becoming increasingly sophisticated and imaginative. Talented designers are turning their hand to creating prints for tote bags. The tote bags are either self-initiated projects for promotion work or commissioned paid work for clients.
Plotting the journey of tote bags from their functional roots, to their manifestation today as a fashion statement. The artworks that, are most striking, inventive, ironic and original of print examples. This will form the basis of this book.
